Beasts are the core entity in the Kuroro ecosystem.

There are 2 high level categories of Beasts, Gen 1 and Gen 2.

Within each Gen there are also starters, that have unique properties to them.

Characteristics

Evolution

• All Beasts have 3 different Stages (evolutions), its standardized for economic/game design balance reasons.
• Even tho there are some Beasts that have split 3rd evos, in the last stage they can be evolved into 2 different choices.
• Evolution has never been implemented yet at the NFT or game level.
• In Beast Brawl right now you can just use the 3rd evos and in Kuroro Wilds right now there is only support for first evolutions.

Elements

• All Beasts have 1 base Element at Stage 1.
• All Beasts gain a secondary Element at Stage 3.

Rarity

• Beasts have different rarities.
• Origins can be Core, Rare, or Epic.
• In Gen 2s we have Common, Core, Rare, Epic, and Mythic.

• We also have Starters, currently the only Starters are Gen 1s which are not Origins and are in the general Beasts collection (non Origins).

Variation

• Variation right now can be either Normal or Lucky.
• Lucky Beasts are Beasts with special color variations, which are valued at multiples of the regular Beasts of the same specie due to their rarity.

Genetic Values

• All Beasts have Genetic Values that are random, HP, Natural Attack, Natural Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense.
• Genetic Values go from 1 to 10. Origins have higher base GVs (cant be below 3).
• Genetic Values can be implemented in game in several ways, as a direct stat increase over base stats, as a multiplier, it can have impact in reproduction, or others, they are a flexible primitive.

Beasts as off-chain characters you can unlock via playing in-game.

We don’t want to gate access to any character, except for Legendaries which are 1/1, and Starters which are special Event or limited edition characters.

Off-chain Beasts are the 3rd and last level of the 🪜The 3 Layer Beast Model.

🕹️ In-game use

Off-Chain Beasts can be unlocked, captured, crafted, or obtained in different forms in-game, depending on which game it is.

They only give you access to that Beast character within that specific game, they don’t have cross-game uses.
